WE ARE COMMITTED TO BEING A CLIMATE POSITIVE COMPANY.
We at Brilliant Bulbs believe that you should be able to enjoy the holidays and have the lights and decorations that make you happy without sacrificing the environment.
We have analyzed our impact on the environment at every step of the process and have committed to two primary goals:
- Remove more carbon from the environment than we release
- Bring sustainability to a niche industry that can often be rather wasteful
Phase 1:
Holiday Light Recycling Program: Brilliant Bulbs has started a FREE holiday lights recycling program available to all residents of Southern California (Brilliant Bulbs customers or not). We will be collecting old lights throughout the season and ensuring they are properly processed, so their raw materials can be recycled while lowering our collective carbon footprint. If you have lights you would like to recycle, just send us a message and we will arrange for the transfer!
Bonneville Environmental Foundation: We have partnered with the Bonneville Environmental Foundation to purchase renewable energy credits to offset all electricity used in our office as well as all electricity used for all lights we install. This means when you use us to install your lights you can be assured that the electricity used for your lights has been offset with renewable energy and you can sleep well at night knowing you have brought holiday cheer to those around you while not sacrificing our planet.
Phase 2:
Work Fleet: In the next year we will be transitioning our work vehicles to 100% electric, which will be charged with renewable energy.
Suppliers Impact: We are working with our suppliers to calculate the carbon footprint of the products we purchase and install so that we can better understand our impact and purchase appropriate offsets. We will continue to push our supplies to make climate positive decisions and have discontinued relationships with suppliers who refused to work with us.
